Founder, WiseYields
I run WiseYields as an independent publisher. I'm not a financial adviser and I don't claim to be one. My job is to take official figures from HMRC, the IRS, the ATO and other tax authorities and turn them into free calculators and plain-English guides.
I've worked in management roles across a range of businesses, and I've spent many years studying finance. That mix of day-to-day business experience and long-term study is what I bring to WiseYields. When a rule is unclear, I check it against the official source until I can explain it simply.
Everything here is free, with no sign-up needed. The site is paid for by ads and clearly labelled affiliate links, and neither ever changes a calculator result. Where a number comes from an official source, I show you where, so you can check it yourself.
If you spot a figure that looks wrong, tell me through the contact page and I'll check it against the official source and fix it.

How we calculate
- Figures are taken from the official source for each country, listed below. We do not use third-party estimates.
- Tax and loan calculators follow the published method: bands applied to taxable income, then allowances, credits and social contributions, with the result shown as an estimate.
- Compound interest, loan and mortgage results use standard formulas: monthly compounding and the standard amortisation formula. Assumptions are shown beside each result.
- Every calculator shows a "last reviewed" date. All tax figures are rechecked when new rates are published each year.
- Results are estimates. They are not financial, tax or legal advice, and WiseYields is not regulated by the FCA.
